In order to download movies and heavy software in dorms you can use software “Strong DC++”. It is a file sharing software. It connects to a server using an IP. And after connecting to server you can download movies and other stuff which other people have on that local area network and share your stuff with other people.
IP of server keeps changing. You can ask for IP on campusmail.

You can access your data on Z drive through campusmail from any PC in or outside the campus. In order to do this follows the following steps:
- Open campusmail in Internet Explorer
- Go to Documents Tab
- Click on open location
- And then write your details in following format

4.How to save student event mails in a specific folder in CAMPUS MAIL?
Open Campus mail in IE
Go to
Options -> rules
then click new rule and opt the first option
in window opened
- click "If the message was sent or received..." under "after message arrives".
- then click "people or distribution lists "in rule discription window and enter. student_events@lists.lums.edu.pk in "To" text field field at bottom in new window opened.
- Also add this rule" If message include specific words in body or subject....."
and use the words "student_events" as it is included in every student event mail. - then specified the folder to which you want to direct the student event mails.

Download the YnHub from softwares link. Run the YnHub.exe file. To connect to server you need and IP of that server. In thin case you are running server on your computer so you need to know IP of your own computer. To find your IP address write ipconfig in command prompt and note down your IP. To make other people able to connect to your DC server tell them your IP address.
